This past summer, South Philly web development firm P’unk Avenue spun out one of its projects, Apostrophe, into its own company.
The product remained open source, but became Apostrophe Technologies, Inc.
“There was a demand for support, and that’s where we saw an opportunity for this great software to take on a life of its own with a business supporting it,” its CEO Alex Gilbert said in September.
Since September, the company has added roles in the product, project management and engineering fields, Gilbert said Monday.
And now it’s hiring a marketing manager who can help the company scale by increasing reach, generating leads and helping to sell its content management system to innovative startups, universities, Fortune 500 companies and more, the company said in the job posting.
This person can expect to wear many hats, the listing said, from creating content marketing strategies to marketing campaign build-outs as well as building out and managing a marketing team. Apostrophe is based in Philadelphia, but this position can be remote.

Fishtown Analytics, an analytics consultancy firm, is hiring for three roles: a customer support lead, a full-stack software engineer and an events manager — not a role we see often at this type of company.
The firm’s current events slate includes in-person trainings and meetups, but this year, it’s also adding a user conference. The events manager can expect to develop event strategy and research, lead and execute in-person events and build relationships with vendors, partners and sponsors.
