This Week in Jobs Philly: Let it snow, let it snow, make it stop

Editor’s note: Every week we ship an email newsletter featuring the region’s most exciting career opportunities. We’ve lovingly called it This Week in Jobs (aka TWIJ — “twidge”). Below is this week’s edition; it’s meant to live in your inbox. Sign up for the newsletter here.

Run me out in the cold rain and snow

The first few times it snowed this winter, it was a welcome opportunity to get extra cozy, break out the hot chocolate and fuzzy blankets and pretend we’re inside a life-size snow globe.

Now, those fluffy white dreams have turned into slushy grey nightmares. Peaceful neighborhood strolls have given way to caution over icy sidewalks, and excitement for building snowmen has transformed into dread at having to dig out the car … again.

And while sometimes the job search process can feel as Sisyphean a task as shoveling the driveway while the flakes are still falling, there’s always the knowledge that warmer days are coming, this all will melt and pass, and we’ll soon be basking on a sunny beach (or starting a sweet new gig).
