Editor’s note: Every week we ship an email newsletter featuring the region’s most exciting career opportunities. We’ve lovingly called it This Week in Jobs (aka TWIJ — “twidge”). Below is this week’s edition; it’s meant to live in your inbox. Sign up for the newsletter here.

Pump, pump it up

What’s your go-to, windows-down, sunny-day jam? Maybe you listen to a throwback or two like Rihanna’s “Umbrella,” or go even further back to listen to “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-a-Lot. This rundown of the top-charted song for each summer from 1975 to 2020 may give you some playlist inspo.

A good mix of songs can make a bad day a good one, and a long drive feel like a short one. We hope you’ve got some fun jams on your queue that will have you bobbing your head as you’re “Working for the Weekend.” Or sending your resume out to the tune of “Call Me Maybe.” Either way, you’ve got this.

The News

A new micro-coworking space is opening up in Northern Liberties, in case you want to stretch your legs and get out of the house for some coffee and coding.

Maybe you’re not as psyched to go back to the office, but we’ve all missed the feeling of an in-person event. At a Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia panel last week, local business leaders discussed the logistics of getting a crowd together post-COVID restrictions.

No matter where you work from, Gopuff has some goods they can drop off at your door. We put together a rundown of five items that encapsulate the unicorn’s rapid-growth and acquisitions.
