Wouldn’t you love to know how many emails First Round Capital cofounder Josh Kopelman gets in a day?

The venture capital firm is on the market for a Partner Operations Manager. Helping Kopelman dig himself out of his inbox is literally on the job description.

“This position is not glamorous,” the posting reads. “It involves a lot of behind-the-scenes work. Josh spends a large portion of the day in his inbox—and you will too.”

Likened to a “Chief of Staff” position, the job is a full-time role based in Philly. The person will help manage and track new investment opportunities, lead special projects and oversee scheduling.

TechCrunch reported at the start of 2018 that First Round had been among the early Uber backers to cash out at least part of their shares. Per the report, it was able to sell 40 percent of its position in the rideshare giant, for a total payday of $800 million.

In the summer of 2017, Khushboo Shah’s cloud computing analytics company Cloudamize merged with London-based Cloudreach, in a deal backed by New York equity firm Blackstone earlier this year

Per former CEO Bob Moul, the company’s Philly team has doubled in size and is looking to bring on another dozen or so staffers to beef up operations.

Digitability, the Philly-based makers of a workplace-readiness training program, kicked off the year by deploying its platform to some 2,000 students, thanks to a deal with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry’s Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.

The system, which takes students through workplace simulations, will go live in 18 schools from the Philadelphia School District. The company is looking to fill a few open slots, including a client success manager, a sales associate and a graphic designer.
