Remember 2017’s Fyre Fest?

We don’t blame you for forgetting the massive failure. After spending hundreds (even thousands) of dollars, guests arrived at the Caribbean festival learning all artists had canceled, and were eventually evacuated from the venue.

Founder and creator Billy McFarland served time in federal prison for creating the fraudulent event and shirking investors and attendees out of $26 million. But, since his release in 2022, it seems he can’t get rid of the festival bug.

Last week, McFarland announced the Fyre Festival II, pre-selling $499 tickets for an event slated for “sometime in December 2024.”

Whether MacFarland succeeds in actually throwing the festival this time, it’s a reminder that if the old adage “At first you don’t succeed, try again” applies to this guy, then it certainly applies to you.

Ready to try again in the job market? Check out the new opportunities below.
