Next Thursday, over 20 meetup groups are convening at Cherry Street Pier for one giant event — Technical.ly’s Super Meetup. Come out on Aug. 22, for a relaxed and informal opportunity to mingle with likeminded technologists, ask exhibiting companies about open roles and of course, have fun.

Ahead of the event, we reached out to our Talent Pro sponsors to find out why you should stop by their tables. Here’s what they said (plus a few choice job openings from each):

Azavea

“Azavea has a strong culture of learning; we have a company library and our employees spend 10% of their time on personal R&D projects. Currently, we’re adding additional support to our Temperate product to help rural and tribal communities in the U.S. prepare for local impacts of climate change.”

Chariot Solutions

“A lot of Charioteers give presentations and workshops in the community, and around the nation in some cases, working with local meetups as well as larger conferences. There’s also a good deal of folks here who work in the community in a charitable way. With an organization called Compete 360 in Philadelphia, we introduced the concepts of design thinking to underserved inner city schools, elementary all the way up through high school. We work with the students to identify and tackle challenges that they have in their community using design thinking and the practices we put into place here every day for our work.”

Deacom

“We are scaling quickly which includes opening our first international office in Frankfurt, Germany in January of 2020! Deacom has a performance-driven culture where high-performing employees are rewarded with both compensation incentives and growth opportunities. As our company continues to expand more opportunities for career progression are becoming available.

“If the best swag at the event and a raffle for some beer doesn’t entice you to stop by, then come ask our HR manager why his nickname is ‘Joey’ for a good laugh.”

Guru

“We are ready to talk about all things Guru and some of the amazing opportunities we have coming available! Among other things — we are transparent and real, not just for the sake of saying that. We are working on building a best-in-class knowledge-sharing platform. Lots of cool things go into that.”

Inspire

“Inspire is on a mission to create a brighter energy future by delivering the world’s first comprehensive clean power platform for the energy efficient smart home or business. We have built an incredibly talented team of dedicated self-starters who are passionate about leveraging technology to improve our future. At Inspire, we call ourselves ‘Avengers’ because the mission is large and the future of world is at stake.  Do you have what it takes to join our cause?”

Linode

“At Linode, every employee has tremendous flexibility when it comes to their schedule. All employees are able to work from home two days per week and have the opportunity to work whatever hours best accommodate their work-life balance. An attendee should stop by our table to grab some sick swag, meet members of our organization, and learn more about the open roles we currently have as well as roles we’ll be hiring for in the future.”

Perpay

“Nearly one in two households in the U.S. struggles to handle an unexpected expense of $400 or more. When it comes to managing expenses, things like a broken appliance or a growing family can be financially burdensome. Stop by Perpay’s table to see how our team of creative problem-solvers is building a fintech product designed to make life’s purchases more accessible.”

The Philadelphia Inquirer

“Come learn about The Philadelphia Inquirer’s digital transformation initiatives and grab some newly rebranded Inquirer swag! If you are tired of punching a clock and not seeing where all of your hard work is going, stop by our table to see why our mission-driven team wakes up excited to come to work and make a positive impact on the community of Philadelphia through our indispensable journalism and innovative products.”

PromptWorks

“PromptWorks has undergone quite a bit of growth this year. We moved into a new, much larger office in June just after celebrating six years in business. We look forward to hosting our monthly meetups and inviting the tech community to take a look at our new space.”

Vanguard

“Together, we’re changing the way the world invests. Because when you invest with courage, when you invest with clarity, and when you invest with care, you have the chance to get so much more in return. We invest with purpose – and that’s how we’ve become a global market leader. Here, we grow by doing the right thing for the people we serve. And so can you. We want to make success accessible to everyone. This is our opportunity. Let’s make it count.”
