Big plans are in the works to expand Baltimore’s innovation economy to new neighborhoods, but growth is still on display downtown.
Whether it’s in new office space above Power Plant Live!, Natty Boh Tower or a former syrup factory, tech and creative businesses are growing as Baltimore’s old spaces are reimagined.
To visualize the contours of the landscape and zoom in on the multiple industry sectors in the downtown core, Technical.ly and the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore teamed up to create Innovation Mapped. It appears below, as well as on the back of the print magazine for Baltimore Innovation Week presented by 14 West.
And it’s just a sampling of the innovation happening in the area. There’s so much innovation in downtown Baltimore that we couldn’t fit it on one map. To see more of the incredible institutions and small firms that dot the tech landscape, visit this page on GoDowntownBaltimore.com.
