The hiring push from the #1 startup on Technical.ly Baltimore’s realLIST 2019 continues following last year’s $33 million funding round. The Harbor East company is seeking an experienced engineer as it creates new tools for personal financial planning combining technology and human advisors.

Asymmetrik is looking for a full-stack developer.

The Annapolis Junction technology and analytics firm is looking for a developer to build and maintain web applications, user interface components, data visualizations and more. The company moved into an office three times the size of its previous space last year, with room for team pods and a “speakeasy.” Be ready to explain tech to an 8-year-old.

BurnAlong is hiring for a senior mobile developer.

The Pikesville-based startup that makes a connected health and fitness platform is seeking out a senior developer who will play a key role in the engineering and design team, delivering front-end code and employing responsive design techniques. A key quality at the realLIST 2019 company, per co-CEO Daniel Freedman: passion for the company’s mission.

GeBBS Consulting has an opening for a senior Pega developer.

The Towson company seeks a developer to spearhead the creation of technology to that allows for the design and development of new solutions in healthcare. Among the desired experience: five to eight years of Pega development and leading a team.

Contrast Security is hiring software engineers.

The application security with a dev office in Fells Point is continuing to grow its team after raising a $65 million Series D round. The company is seeking a full-stack software engineer, as well as those with specialties in Ruby and Java.

Pinkaloo has engineering openings.

The Remington-based company that makes a platform modernizing charitable giving is hiring for a software developer. Experience with Django and Python are key among qualifications, as well as at least one year of software development in an enterprise environment

Mindgrub is seeking an automation engineer.

The Locust Point-based tech and marketing agency is adding to its ranks this year. Among the growing department is quality assurance, where this person will be testing mobile and web-based projects throughout the development process.

14 West is seeking a senior data engineer.

The Mt. Vernon company is looking for a data engineer to collaborate with the business and technology teams in building solutions, contributing to designs and support production issues. “In this position you will have an opportunity to use the latest technology platforms and techniques in an environment that promotes thinking outside of the box,” a posting on the Technical.ly jobs board states.

Baltimore City Office of Information and Technology is looking to bring on a systems engineer.

The city government’s tech office said the person in this role will be responsible for infrastructure and application components, including designing and implementing new solutions and improving current resilience.

Terbium Labs is seeking a data scientist.

The Federal Hill cybersecurity company is seeking to add to its data science team. The posting says this individual will “get to do a little of everything in data science.” A working knowledge of Python is required.

SmartLogic is hiring a product designer.

As Yair Flicker, the president of the Canton dev agency, told us for an article on skills during How to Get Hired month (aka February), the role represents a new approach to an old problem.

“We prefer designs and prototypes over words on a page when describing what a client wants to build,” he said. “Having someone on the team build those designs and prototypes will be extremely helpful in determining scope, cost, and success criteria for all involved.”
