Here’s a sweet map of 70 tech firms in Baltimore city

Here's a friendly neighborhood map listing just some of the tech and creative firms based in Baltimore city.

Let’s stop the worrying right now. Baltimore city has its own network of growing innovation clusters.

That doesn’t take anything away from the county or the rest of Maryland or the broader mid-Atlantic region, for that matter. It’s just that it needs to be said that Baltimore’s old urban core is having a revival — and technology, creative and web businesses are playing a real role.
That’s why, with the help of the Downtown Partnership, you can find on the back cover of the Baltimore Innovation Week print magazine this map highlighting some 70 such businesses that are taking root in familiar neighborhoods.
You can get a copy and visit a couple stops on the map at next week’s Innovation Crawl, which comes just before our huge kickoff festival for the fourth annual Baltimore Innovation Week.

Update: It's no surprise that we missed some great companies when compiling this list. To be clear, the goal was to only list a representative array and we focused only on companies with their own offices (so, no, not all the companies inside the Emerging Technology Centers or Betamore, for example), but still there were some we missed that we particularly regret. We’ve updated the list below, though the map remains the same. (10/28/15, 12:03 p.m.)
