It’s that time of year — the August release of the Inc. 5000 list ranking the fastest-growing companies in the United States.

The 2023 edition featured 143 Philly-area companies, including 90 repeat honorees. 2022 and 2021 saw 131 companies and 149 companies from the region, respectively.

Here are a few tech-related companies on the list that you might recognize:

  • Center City-based IT services and consulting firm rockITdata ranked #115
  • Blockchain gaming company Splinterlands ranked #250
  • IndeVets, a veterinary staff scheduling platform, ranked #918
  • Education tech company CampusESP ranked #1,366
  • Software development company Kleer ranked #1,951
  • FinPay, a financial tech company for healthcare providers, ranked #2,049
  • EverWash, a car wash subscription service, ranked #2,382
  • HR technology company Phenom ranked #2,864
  • Software company Odessa ranked #3,828
  • Greenphire, a platform focused on clinical trial payments, ranked #4,146

Also on the list are Curotec, Medical Guardian, Infinite Blue, ChopDawg Studios and Tactile Design Group.

This is the first year that Kleer, which allows dental practices to create fully customized care plans, qualified for the list. In addition to its general ranking, the company also ranked #204 among other business products and services companies in the country and #43 among fastest-growing companies in Pennsylvania.

“We’re honored to be named among this impressive list of fast-growing companies,” said Dave Monahan, CEO and founder of Kleer, in a statement. “It’s incredibly difficult to grow as quickly as we have at Kleer. It all comes down to the commitment of our team to providing value to customers and keeping them happy. I’m grateful to each and every employee for the role they’ve played in that.”

This is the second year in a row that IndeVets has made it on the list, after ranking #577 last year. Over the last year, the company has more than doubled its staff to 300 employees, expanded its scheduling app and entered three new markets in Denver, Minneapolis and Maine, as CEO and founder Michael Raphael told Technical.ly via email. The company is also certified now to teach continuing education courses to its veterinarians, and next year will launch multiple new services.

“We started IndeVets to improve the mental health [of] our veterinarians. It’s our top priority. The only way we can help more veterinarians, improving the industry and delivering on our mission, is to grow,” Raphael said. “Making the INC 5000 is an important acknowledgment that we are staying true to our mission.”
