University City Science Center is looking for a program and community engagement associate for its weekly Venture Café series.

This person will work closely with the Venture Café team to connect Philadelphia ecosystem builders and execute the Thursday events.

“In this role, the associate will work to craft and maintain various ambassador roles that power each Thursday,” the listing said. “Key to this position is someone who excels at building culture, fostering community, and enjoys working with diverse stakeholders.”

This person should be a logistics wiz, and be someone who strives to make Philadelphia’s innovation community more diverse, inclusive, accessible and better connected. They should also likely have two to four years of community organizing or event management experience, the listing says.

Kids’s shoe sizing startup Jenzy, founded in 2016, is looking for a contract-to-hire senior front end developer.

“We are looking for an energetic, passionate leader who’s savvy about the latest front-end and React technologies and have 3-5 years of experience to back it up,” cofounder Carolyn Horner wrote in a public Slack channel.

The developer is required to know React Native, React, Redux and Redux Saga.

Jenzy recently announced a $1.25 million seed round of fundraising and Horner told that they’d be hiring a handful of positions to round the team out.

“We’ll be going into 2020 with runway, which is really exciting,” she said. “It took us a year to raise it, but we know we can do it, and we can do it again, and that is a big boost of confidence for us.”

Events production company Witty Gritty has two open roles: a short-term community engagement coordinator and project and client manager.

Both roles come “with the possibility to continue or grow into a long-term position,” the postings said. The community engagement coordinator will work on the outreach efforts of the org, develop company materials and provide digital and grassroots strategic direction for client projects.

The project and client manager will act as a connector between the operations team and the engagement & experiences team. This person will work on timelines, represent the voice of the client and should have about five years of experience in a project management-related role.

Technically Media (hey, that’s us!) is looking for freelance reporters in Pittsburgh for a year-long project to report feature stories on economic change in the city.

The project, supported by InnovatePGH, aims to explore the tech and innovation ecosystem in Pittsburgh and the surrounding region, including employer and hiring trends. We’re looking for a handful of reporters to produce 12 enterprise stories over the course of 2020.

“Likely, this is for an existing freelance reporter who is excited by a meaningful reporting project aimed at advancing the conversation on talent and growing industries,” the listing says. “Bonus points for being excited by local news, and Pittsburgh’s future specifically.”

These folks should have some journalism experience under their belt, and a deep knowledge of the region.

Behavioral health tech company NeuroFlow is looking to build out its marketing team and is hiring a marketing operations analyst.

This person will help build and establish the company’s brand, and “will be the glue for our marketing team, helping to ensure information, campaigns, and processes are aligned to our key growth goals,” the listing said.

The marketing operations analyst should be a social media wiz, be able to plan and execute events and work with marketing data. NeuroFlow is looking for someone with two to four years of experience in marketing or PR, some familiarity with healthcare and a desire to work in a startup atmosphere.
