A new report out Thursday puts some numbers behind the digital hiring needs that companies are facing. The 20 companies signed on to the Greater Washington Partnership, which spans employers in Baltimore, D.C. and Richmond, identified the need to hire 20,000 “digital tech workers” over the next five years to fill open jobs, according to a report. In all, the businesses (including Under Armour, T. Rowe Price and Johns Hopkins in Baltimore) will need to hire 135,000 workers. Cybersecurity is singled out in the report as a particular area of need, as well as an area where the region can be a leader.
With that in mind, here are a few openings in the near-term:

Traitify is hiring a Statistical Researcher.

The Highlandtown-based company that specializes in picture-heavy personality assessments for businesses is adding to its Psychology team. The researcher will analyze and assist other companies in understanding the data, according to a job description.

Protenus has a pair of openings in sales and engineering.

The healthcare cybersecurity company indicated hiring was in the works after bringing on a VP of People Operations. On the Technical.ly jobs board, we spotted openings for a Senior DevOps Engineer and in Sales Operations.

ZeroFOX seeks senior software engineers.

The South Baltimore–based social media cybersecurity company continues to grow after this year’s $40 million funding round. The company is currently hiring for a total of four dev openings, including a senior-level application developer and DevOps engineer.

Datastory Consulting is hiring a business coordinator.

The Inner Harbor firm specializes in using GIS to map and analyze data. The company is hiring its first-ever business coordinator to serve as the “front line” to the business with customers.

SmartLogic is looking for a developer.

You’ve probably eaten pizza that was paid for by SmartLogic at a meetup in Baltimore. The Canton-based web and mobile development consultancy seeks a technical generalist who can take ownership of a project for a client. The team prioritizes improving process and providing freedom to create.
