Do April showers really bring May flowers?

The origin of this popular phrase can be traced all the way back to 1500 and the English poet Thomas Tusser. Originally, the phrase was, “Sweet April showers Do spring May flowers.”

While it’s not exactly dry in April, it’s not actually the rainiest month. For most areas of the US, you’ll have higher rainfall in the summer months.

April might not be as wet as you think, but we do have a shower of new opportunities this week.
