The director and producers of an upcoming documentary about CRISPR will be at Genspace Thursday night, Oct. 12, for a talk over wine and cheese about their research into the gene editing technology.

The Real Stories Behind CRISPR” will feature director Adam Bolt, executive producer Elliot Kirschner and producer Sarah Goodwin.

“For an entire year, documentary film director Adam Bolt has been interviewing the scientific minds behind CRISPR, the controversial gene editing technique that has ignited public imagination about designer babies, new cures for cancer, and more,” Genspace writes in its event invite.

Genspace is a community bio lab, which hosts speakers and science workshops and has won Maker Space of the Year for the past two years in our Brooklyn Innovation Awards (nominations for this year’s awards just went up yesterday, go vote.)

The location of the talk will be at Genspace’s new space in Sunset Park (more on that soon!). Tickets are $8.
