Tech behemoth Kickstarter will open its doors to college students working on the Biodesign Challenge next week, with some incredibly interesting speakers lined up to talk to them.
The challenge “offers art and design students the opportunity to envision future applications of biotechnology in a competition that highlights student work.”
It’s put on by the cofounder of Downtown Brooklyn’s Genspace, Daniel Grushkin, who is also a fellow at Data & Society.
Speaking will be Susan Anker, who works in a “variety of mediums ranging from digital sculpture and installation to large-scale photography to plants grown by LED lights.”
Joining her will be Nina Tandon, the CEO and cofounder of EpiBone, “the world’s first company growing living human bones for skeletal reconstruction.”
