Philly Tech Meetup may have outgrown its spot at Quorum. For the second consecutive month, there more attendees than chairs to see three Philly startups launch their products.
By a show of hands, many of the attendees were there for the first time including Rhode Island incubator Betaspring, which made the trip to hear the three companies launch:
Ajungo – A way to plan and enjoy your vacations by plugging into your friends traveling experience. The company already has received press from BBC.
Lokalty – Loyalty programs for local businesses. As we tweeted, the concept is simlar to SCVNGR’s LevelUp product: an app-generated QR-code is scanned by the local business to register purchase that can be used to redeem awards.
Spling – An easy way to share content between friends. The company has already raised a Series A round and is hiring all while still in DreamIt Ventures. Spling claims it already has 2,000 users in its closed beta.
