ZenTech Manufacturing sold $50,000 in equity, according to an SEC filing. The transaction followed the company’s acquisition of Colonial Assembly & Design in late April.
Tissue Analytics raised $750,000 in seed funding, according to TechCrunch. The funding round was led by Chinese tech giant Tencent. Tissue Analytics is a Baltimore-based startup that makes an app allowing healthcare professionals to more easily track chronic wound care.

WHO’S MAKING MOVES

The Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition (IRCE) is underway in Chicago, and Baltimore-based firms involved in ecommerce are eager to show off what they’ve been working on.
At the conference, SalesWarp is set to unveil a new version of its cloud-based software that helps retailers manage their business. The ETC Haven Street-based startup has “Retail Fitness Advisors” stationed at the conference.
Meanwhile, Groove launched a new website and digital marketing campaign for National Autism Resources. The new site has more offerings for parents and educators working with people diagnosed with autism, and is designed to help the website pick up more traffic.

WHO’S GETTING BUZZ

Emerging Technology Centers President Deb Tillett penned an article for Hong Kong-based Jumpstart Magazine about Baltimore’s tech and entrepreneurship scene. She focused on Baltimore as a city of firsts, using game dev platform Brinkbit, edtech startup Unbound Concepts and even Technical.ly as examples.
TEDCO’s increase in TCF/CIF award funding warranted a look at the state entrepreneurship engine from the Baltimore Sun. SocialToaster’s Brian Razzaque, Betamore’s Jen Meyer and of course TEDCO President Rob Rosenbaum all get quoted at length.
