TEDxWilmington has been busy since it was founded in 2011 by Ajit George, a little under 100 speakers have been featured. But this coming Wednesday? Well, it’s going to be a big day.
“This year’s line up is very exciting, with an inspiring 12-year-old boy who is paying it forward, a young man who became a successful entrepreneur through dogged persistence and financial support from Sir Richard Branson, a United States Senator, uniquely creative performance artists and a slate of subject-matter experts who will present new and unexpected perspectives on pressing issues of the day,” George said.
The conference costs a $100 to attend, and continental breakfast and drinks will be provided. Programming will begin on Aug. 24 at 8 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.
Speakers were vetted through an application process that required essays and video applications. The team received over 100 applications this year.
