who’s getting funded?

Centrexion Corp, based in Harbor East, has raised $8.7 million in equity, according to SEC filings. The biotech startup is “pioneering a new class of therapeutics,” according to its unfinished website.
TenantRex LLC, based in the Inner Harbor, has raised $155,000 in debt, according to SEC filings. The software startup uses crowdsourced information to compile commercial real estate data.
Wham City Lights, based in Charles North, has raised $500,000 in equity, according to SEC filings. The startup, cofounded by electronic musician Dan Deacon, creates an app that triggers a mobile-powered light show at concerts and events.
WellDoc, based in Charles North, has raised $200,000 in equity and debt, according to SEC filings. The health IT startup creates an app that helps doctors monitor patients’ Type II diabetes by mobile phone.

who’s making moves?

Under Armour, the Tide Point-based athletic wear company, completed its $150 million acquisition of fitness tech startup MapMyFitness. The purchase of MapMyFitness was the first acquisition for Under Armour, which has slowly been expanding into wearable technology.
