Bethesda-based Spotluck, the deals app bringing yield management to the restaurant space, launched in Baltimore last Friday. Charm City is Spotluck’s third metro area after D.C. and Philadelphia.

The app is currently partnered with about 70 restaurants in a variety of Baltimore neighborhoods. When we checked in with Spotluck in July, CEO Cherian Thomas had his sights set on a Series A round and expansion to New York City — apparently Baltimore is first.
Thomas told our sister site, Technical.ly Baltimore, that proximity certainly had something to do with it. “Since we have such a huge presence in D.C., Maryland and Virginia, this made so much sense,” he said.
