Social Tables, the D.C.-based events planning software company, announced on Wednesday the hire of Wellford Dillard as chief financial officer. Dillard will help direct corporate strategy as well as oversee financial planning and analysis and manage accounting, according to a statement.
Dillard comes to Social Tables with a lot of experience working with software as service (SaaS) companies in the role of CFO. Most recently he served as the CFO of VideoBlocks — a stock video company based in Reston, Va. Previously he held the same position at a range of other SaaS companies including Opower and GetWellNetwork.
Clearly it is this experience that Social Tables is after — CEO Dan Berger said in a statement that he is “thrilled to welcome Wellford to the team” as “an expert in operating SaaS companies.”
Social Tables has been making moves over the past months. DC Inno recently identified the company as being among the top D.C. startups to watch in 2016.
