Greenbelt, Maryland-based Paradyme Management, a data solutions provider for the federal sector, has established an IT lab located in its new Tysons office.

Paradyme Labs will serve as the company’s innovation hub and a central operational center for its team members and customers. Paradyme created the lab to better meet IT needs for the federal sector especially in development, security and operations areas. The lab will be led by Paradyme CTO Luther McGinty, who has also established lab leads overseeing the areas of program delivery support, sales, R&D, and staff training and development to establish clear interaction lines with the surrounding business.

“We are extremely excited about the anticipated outputs of the Lab and the cohesion and synergy it will bring across the business,” McGinty told Technical.ly. “From engineers with deep expertise in emerging technologies to sales professionals better able to communicate and align services with customer needs, we feel rallying our business around the Lab will further strengthen our already terrific culture and allow us to bring better products and services to our government customers.”

Paradyme is planning to bring its employees back into the office in the first quarter of next year. Through the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has been using Microsoft Teams to collaborate remotely. With the installation of the new lab, Paradyme is working to prepare with local safety guidelines in mind.

“While we want to take advantage of our space, the safety of our people remains our top priority, so we remain predominately remote,” said McGinty. “Meanwhile, we are working with our facilities management and corporate management to ensure protections and compliance are robust and well communicated for once we return.”

Paradyme has nearly doubled the size of its team over the past two years to 200 employees in the region. Its new Tysons office at 8255 Greensboro Drive in McLean, Virginia, has nearly 4,000 square feet of space. Paradyme also has another small satellite office in Northern Virginia that serves 10% of its employees. Continuing its growth, McGinty said Paradyme is hiring both for the new lab and for various other programs within the company.
