WHO’S MAKING MOVES?

Bluecadet, a Fishtown digital agency, plans to open a New York City by the end of the year, CEO Josh Goldblum told the Philadelphia Daily News.

Soulfill, the mobile game from South Philly developer Jason Marziani, won the Interaction Award at Los Angeles gamer conference Indiecade, he told us.

Speaking of games, check out Tech In Motion’s indie game showcase Thursday at Impact Hub.

See all the startups featured at IMPACT, PACT‘s venture capital conference, later this month. There are three tracks: healthcare, technology and early-stage, featuring startups like Biomeme, Wizehive, Sidecar, Prayas Analytics and VUID.

PeopleLinx, the Center City social selling startup, is exhibiting at Salesforce conference Dreamforce this week in San Francisco, spokesman Michael Idinopulos told us. Here’s his recap of day one. “We’re also representing Philly with free Tastykakes,” he said. Nice.

The slow march to the big Guru reveal continues. We’re talking about Boomi cofounder Rick Nucci‘s new startup, still in stealth mode. This week, he launched private beta.

Edwin Rivera, formerly an industrial designer at makerspace NextFab, is now a designer at Bristol-based Ace Designs, he told us.

Jon Gosier, angel investor and CEO of D8A, spoke at TED University at TEDGlobal. Read about his talk here.

NoLibs web dev firm Jarvus is redesigning Kudzoo, an edtech mobile app, according to a press release.

Help South Street web dev firm Message Agency get a $150,000 grant by voting for them here. (Type “Message Agency” into the box.) The grant “would allow us to increase our capacity to serve nonprofits by building technology tools for the arts and culture sector that organizations can access for free or low cost,” wrote founder Marcus Iannozzi.

WHO’S GETTING FUNDED?

Stream TV Networks, a Center City company that developed 3D viewing without 3D glasses, raised $1.5 million, according to an SEC filing. One of the company’s board members is listed as Shadron Stastney, who founded NYC hedge fund Vicis Capital (and whom the SEC went after in 2013).

Osage University Partners, the arm of Bala Cynwyd’s Osage Ventures that invests in university spinouts, raised a $151 million fund, according to an SEC filing.

Christini Technologies, a Callowhill company that sells motorcycles and developed technology that powers motorcycles, raised just over $900,000, according to an SEC filing.

A mysterious tech company called AXTC raised $265,000, according to an SEC filing. We couldn’t find much online about it but we found this, which looks like the Center City-based founder registered the domain traversal.co earlier this year.

WHO’S GETTING BUZZ?

One big-name customer for workplace wellness startup Lifevest Health? Airline JetBlue. The Center City startup got a shout out in this recent Wall Street Journal piece.

Companies: Guru Technologies / Message Agency / LifeVest Health / Bluecadet / Jarvus Innovations / PeopleLinx
