This DC restaurant saw the most Lyft drop-offs in 2016

Despite its extreme unpopularity with Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema, the restaurant Founding Farmers was a top drop off point for Lyft riders in 2016.
This according to the 2016 Lyftie Awards, announced today. You may recall last year’s version, in which El Centro D.F., the Lincoln Memorial and Union Station won big. This year things were a little different. Tastes change, apparently, and that change is reflected in the Lyfties.
Here’s who won:

• Most Visited Restaurant: Founding Farmers
• Most Visited Bar: Don Tito (in Arlington!)
• Most Visited Transit Stop: Union Station
• Most Visited Event Space: The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

The awards also include an “only in D.C.” category, which was won by Union Market this year, and a “trending destination” category which went to the new Smithsonian African American History Museum. And Union Station got a shoutout beyond the District, too — it won “most visited transit stop” in the national awards as well.
The Lyftie Awards celebrate “local hot spots” across Lyft’s markets by highlighting those that see the highest number of passenger drop-offs throughout the year.
