Premium flex workplace provider Industrious has inked a deal with Brookfield Properties to bring another one of its coworking locations to D.C., this time in the Mt. Vernon Triangle neighborhood.

The company will occupy 35,000 square feet of space in Brookfield’s property located at 650 Massachusetts Ave. NW. This is Industrious’ second time partnering with the New York-based commercial real estate company, after opening a location with Brookfield in Denver, Colorado.

“Mt. Vernon Triangle is a popular up-and-coming business hub in D.C. with great retail, restaurants, and easy access to Union Station,” said Industrious’ Mid-Atlantic area manager, Joyce Oh, in a statement. “Our existing D.C. proper location has been operating at complete occupancy with a substantial wait list so we’re excited to be growing our presence in the area.”

That D.C. proper space Oh is referring to is the Thomas Circle office located at 1 Thomas Circle NW; this location opened up back in March 2018. With the addition of the Mt. Vernon Triangle office, Industrious now has two locations in D.C. proper, and six locations overall across the D.C. area.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Industrious to 650 Massachusetts Avenue and the Mt. Vernon Triangle neighborhood,” said the SVP of leasing and asset management at Brookfield Properties, Cy Kouhestani. “Industrious is a premier provider in flexible workspace, and we firmly believe in their contribution to an environment in which businesses innovate, grow, and thrive.”

Founded in 2013, Industrious reports having over 90 locations across 45 U.S. cities. Some amenities that Industrious offers to its members are a fully-stocked cafe with breakfast served daily, networking opportunities and other events.

Expect to see Industrious Mt. Vernon Triangle open its doors in the second quarter of 2020. Meanwhile, check out Technical.ly’s comprehensive coworking guide here.
