Curalate turns Instagram into ecommerce site for Target, Nordstrom

Call it an Insta hack.

And for Curalate’s next trick? Turning Instagram into an ecommerce site.

Target and Nordstrom are using the Center City visual analytics firm’s new “Like2Buy” platform to let shoppers buy products almost directly from Instagram, Businessweek reported.

Here’s how it works. Shoppers click a link in the brand’s bio. It sends them to a website that looks a lot like Instagram, but with direct links to the store’s ecommerce sites. Think of it as an Insta hack.

It’s not Curalate’s first venture into making products (other than its analytics suite) for customers. Last fall, the company launched FanReel, which let brands manage and post user-generated content onto their sites.
