Early birds, get ready: CreativeMornings/DC is hosting its first virtual program on Friday, April 24.
The local chapter of the international CreativeMornings network hosts monthly events in the District, usually slated for the last Friday of each month, that feature coffee and — typically — one deep-dive presentation from a local founder or community leader on a specific theme.
On Friday, attendees can tune in at 9 a.m. to hear presentations from several past speakers on the theme of purpose. The event will kick off with a performance curated by Little Salon, a local roaming art event company, followed by presentations from Jason Reynolds, an author and poetry writer; Maggie O’Neill, a local artist and designer; and Morgan Givens, a storyteller and audio producer.
RegisterThis event comes after the organization decided to cancel its March program due to the coronavirus. Last month’s planned event was also supposed to celebrate CreativeMornings/DC hosting events for seven years in the District. The D.C. program’s host, Joel Daly, took to Twitter to share a story about how the organization started its programming here:
