Betamore just got some fast internet from Comcast.
The telecom giant installed 1 gigabit-per-second (Gbps) line at the tech nonprofit’s Federal Hill campus, the company said in a news release. The service, which is capable of scaling up to 10 Gbps, will help improve cloud access and large file transfers for devs. It will also expand videoconferencing capabilities out of Betamore.
As part of the deal, Comcast Business was named the exclusive network services provider for Betamore.
“Having a reliable network infrastructure not only provides these companies with the speed and capacity to continue innovating, but it also helps them attract even more talent and diverse industries to the Baltimore region,” Peter Marsh, regional vice president for Comcast Business, said in a statement.

Full disclosure: Comcast was the title sponsor of Philly Tech Week 2015, a major event organized by Technical.ly.
