These 8 Baltimore startups will pitch Steve Case next week

The Rise of the Rest Tour named the eight Baltimore startups that will pitch AOL cofounder Steve Case next week.
The companies will be vying for $100,000 in investment from Case’s Revolution Ventures during the Sept. 28 event at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. The public can attend the pitch competition, where Case will also be interviewed in a fireside chat. It’s happening during Baltimore Innovation Week.

During the daylong visit to Baltimore, Case will also visit tech spots like Johns Hopkins’ Fast Forward, Betamore and OrderUp’s offices.
Case’s Baltimore stop kicks off the latest tour to highlight tech communities outside New York and the Bay Area. The latest trip also includes stops in Philly, Buffalo, Manchester, N.H., and Portland, Maine.
