Steve Case is a prominent entrepreneurial advocate and technology executive.

He is best known as the longtime chairman of AOL, a role from which he retired in 2003. In 2005, he founded Revolution, an investment firm and has been involved in many national efforts to raise the profile of entrepreneurship, particularly in communities other than those in Silicon Valley. In fall 2013, he wrote an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal that popularized the use of the phrase ‘rise of the rest’ to refer to new tech-entrepreneurship markets.

As a longtime resident of the Washington D.C. suburbs, he has become a leading figure in that city’s tech sector and for speaking to federal officials about trends in entrepreneurship and investing.
