Care about how journalism gets done, news gets told and communities are informed?
Then you ought to join the 150 media leaders who will be at Temple University on Saturday for the eighth annual Barcamp News Innovation, an annual unconference we at Technically Media organize with Temple’s School of Media Communications.
Get tickets
For your $15 ticket, you get a day of discussions on newsroom best practices, social web engagement trends and dialogues on the future of news and journalism — and breakfast, lunch and a pretty rad happy hour.

The #bcni16 keynote roundtable includes McClatchy's Greg Linch, NatGeo's Jess Estepa, TED's Emily McManus and Michael Gold of the New York Times.

Oh, and a lunchtime roundtable of heavy hitters:

In addition to civic technologists from Code for Philly and nearly all regional newsrooms (including members of the Technical.ly team), attendees include representatives from Vox Media, the Wall Street Journal, CNET and ABC.
Don’t confuse #BCNI16 with the equally wonderful Barcamp Philly, the annual unconference on design and civic do-goodery coming up in November. (Remember that Barcamps are an event type, not a specific even.) You should just go to both.
