Who’s getting money?

Quotiful has gone onto Kickstarter for a fundraising round. The app has added a new function: it can send you inspirational quotes based on your activity. It’s raised $1,500 toward a $20,000 goal, with three weeks to go. We covered its founder, Nicole Raymondi, here.

Who’s making moves?

Car2Go is live in Brooklyn. It’s not a local company, but its local HQ is in Sunset Park, according to an email from the company. It got picked up by Fast Company. As of this writing, the one time activation fee of $35 is waived with the promo code “BKLYN.”

Who’s getting buzz?

Makers Row did a partner content piece with PSFK.

The company that runs the StartUp Podcast, which we have covered quite a bit, is calling itself Gimlet Media now (we said new branding was coming). Its cofounder, Alex Blumberg, did an interview with the Columbia Journalism Review.
