Coworking space network WeWork is ready to close a deal for a 26,000-square-foot space on H Street, the Washington Business Journal reports.
The Bitcoin Shop, an Arlington-based online store for Bitcoin users, plans to merge with the Israeli Spondoolies-Tech Ltd, a bitcoin miner. The shop had just raised $2.3 million.
WHO’S GETTING FUNDED?
Applied Predictive Technologies, an Arlington financial cloud analytics company, has been acquired by MasterCard for $600 million, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Arlington-based OmniEarth, a company that seeks to launch 18 satellites into space to obtain a high-resolution view of the Earth, has raised $1.3 million from a $3 million prospective round, according to an SEC filing. The Washington Business Journal has more.
Vii Network, a Penn Quarter-based healthtech company, has raised $250,000 out of a prospective $3 million round, according to an SEC filing.
West McLean, Va.-based Senseware, a company that makes wireless sensors to measure energy usage, has raised $125,000 in debt, out of a prospective $750,000 round, according to an SEC filing.
Visidraft, a Cheverly, Md.-based startup that makes augmented reality tools for architects and interior designers, has raised $250,000 in seed funding. DC Inno has more from this press release.
Vienna-based cybersecurity company ThreatQuotient has raised $1.5 million in a seed round led by Blu Venture Investors, the Center for Innovative Technology and Virginia Tech Investor Network, a network of alumni who “fund Hokie.”
