Carvertise continues to grow with 50 more jobs in Delaware

Carvertise continues to show that businesses that begin as startups can flourish in Delaware: The seven-year-old company born out of the University of Delaware’s Horn Entrepreneurship program will soon add 50 new jobs in the state, Delaware Business Times reports.

In 2018, the mobile advertising company founded by Mac Nagaswami Macleod and Greg Star moved to a large all-in-one location in Browntown where cars are wrapped in client ads in the same space where the wraps are designed and printed and business is done.

Right now, Carvertise, whose clients include EA Sports, Amazon and Sprint, has just 15 employees in Delaware, making the addition of 50 more significant, both for the company and the city.

Carvertise also has sales teams in cities around the country, including Philadelphia, Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles.

In the past year, the company added more markets nationally, made its second major brand overhaul in two years, and brought on 1313 Innovation’s Lauren Spinelli as director of marketing. It was also recently approved for a $290,000 performance-based grant from the Delaware Strategic Fund, approved by the state’s Council on Development Finance, to support its growth strategy via operations and marketing, per the Times.
