Support music projects and discover new artists while you’re at it with FeedbackLoop, a new monthly subscription service and musician funding platform that sends “music projects” out to its members.
Founded by local musician Justin Chapman, users pay $2 to $10 a month (or more, if they wish) to fund a music project by upcoming artists from all over the country. As Chapman defines it, a music project is a mix of three to four songs, videos and a mini “making of” magazine with photos and stories of the musicians behind the project.
Right now, 100 percent of subscription revenues go to the musicians, Chapman said, but he’s still working out how much of a cut the company will take.
Feedback Loop has no full-time employees yet.
Chapman, 23, is a Drexel graduate and currently lives in Fairmount. He’s also a web developer for a new Artists & Instigators portfolio company that’s in stealth mode.
