GiveCampus is expanding to a larger, private office in the Navy Yard

GiveCampus, a D.C.-based company that curates an educational fundraising platform, is relocating to a new office space in Navy Yard.

The new 11,549-square-foot office will be 10 times larger than its current space in WeWork Navy Yard, the company announced. It will be leasing its new office, a Class A office building located at 99 M St. SE, from global development and construction firm Skanska.

The new space will accommodate a rapidly growing team.

“The number of schools leveraging our technology to fundraise more effectively has more than doubled in the last 24 months, and we expect this community to double again over the next 24 months,” said Kestrel Linder, cofounder and CEO of GiveCampus, in a statement.

Launched in 2015, GiveCampus reports now working with more than 700 colleges, universities and grade schools in 47 U.S. states, D.C., Puerto Rico and seven foreign countries on its tech platform, compared to 600 partner schools in its 2018 year-end report. The startup said it averages four new schools using its platform per week and has facilitated more than $500 million in charitable giving for its partner schools, with an average donation of $151.

Since its inception, GiveCampus has also expanded from a team of two to nearly 30 full-time employees working out of its D.C. and San Francisco offices. The company said the new space can accommodate more than 100 team members.

“Our new D.C. office will provide the space we need to grow our team so that we can continue providing world-class support to schools across the country,” Linder said.

GiveCampus said it’s designing the new space with cross-team collaboration in mind. The relocation will officially take place in spring 2020.
