A former national correspondent at the New York Daily News, he has worked as a criminal justice reporter at the New Orleans Times-Picayune and The Wall Street Journal. His stories have also appeared in The New York Times, Newsweek, and Rolling Stone Cover to Cover: The First 40 Years.
