As 2025 winds down, the tech job market is continuing to move…carefully.

It’s been a year of selective hiring, AI experimentation and a renewed focus on fundamentals. There were fewer roles overall, but more emphasis on stability, efficiency and core technical skills.

Recent labor market forecasts suggest this will continue as the year ends with economic and labor market uncertainty. Still, there are pockets of opportunity, and tech jobs are predicted to grow at double the rate of the overall workforce.
