Happy last new moon of 2025!

It’s Dec. 9, and if you thought the days were already dark enough, today the last new moon of the year rises. The darkness of the new moon marks beginnings, pretty appropriate symbolism as 2026 comes into view.

In the world of jobs, this time of year also marks a hidden hiring window, when companies with remaining hiring budgets or pressing end-of-year projects are still out looking for talent. And since there are generally fewer jobseekers during the holidays, there is less competition, making it a good time of year to stay in the game.

Think of these openings as your own new-moon moment, and start the next cycle on your terms.
