First of all, try it out:
How’d it go?
That right there is Voice Polls for Publishers, a way for news sites to create social polls using Voice. (The startup, from a team of French entrepreneurs, was formerly known as Poutsch.)
The primary changes with Voice’s new functionality are:
- The polls can be embedded, like a YouTube video.
- Users don’t need to log-in to vote (it tracks IPs to eliminate double votes).
- Publishers have control over the colors, so it matches the look of their site (which we took advantage of above).
- Multiple questions can be incorporated into one embed, to increase time spent on a site.
Another function publishers may like is the ability to make an embed that shows your latest poll first.
Cofounder, Melchior Scholler, emailed us about the change. He also told us that Voice will soon release its app on Android. The company is waiting to release it to coincide with another major new development for the company.
Voice works from a home/office in Williamsburg. It is currently a team of six.
