Brooklyn’s answer to South by Southwest features three tracks: music, film and innovation. The innovation vertical is oriented around the tech economy, making stuff and how technology is evolving. We covered a pitch event for Dutch entrepreneurs and how transportation is changing, among other topics, from the 2014 event.
Here are some Brooklyn faces you can look forward to hearing more from at this year’s innovation festival:
- Alex Blumberg, Gimlet Media
- Charlie O’Donnell, Brooklyn Bridge Ventures
- Amanda Peyton, Grand Street (now an Etsy property)
- Francis Bitonti, fashion and homeware designer
- Erin Griffith, Fortune
- Jon Jackson, Huge
The Northside Festival is a project of the Northside Media Group. The first festival was held in 2009.
