MakerBot unveils a mini Replicator at CES

MakerBot heads deeper into 3D scannning

On Tuesday, at the Consumer Electronics Show, Makerbot‘s Bre Pettis announced three new devices.

One of them is a Mini Replicator, aimed at consumers. It will cost $1,379 and start shipping this spring, according to TechCrunch.

The other new devices were a “prosumer” version and an oversized 3D printer. All three devices are now viewable on the front page of the MakerBot website.

The story also reports that MakerBot announced a partnership with a sensor manufacturer, Softkinetic, around the 3D scanning side of its business.
