Go to a tech party down underneath the Manhattan Bridge overpass

Meet other tech folks and hear the owner of Superfine sing cabaret.

The archway underneath the Manhattan Bridge is one of the coolest spaces in Brooklyn. It feels a bit like a giant cave, full of the noise of the city, with Victorian-era cobblestones.
Dumbo is also the tech hub of Brooklyn, so it’s cool that the Made in NY Media Center will be using the arch as the venue for next week’s Design and Tech Summer Bash, organized with The Next Web and the Dumbo Improvement District.
The reason for the event is simple enough, the Media Center says: “To celebrate the design and tech community and friends!”
The night will feature music by Madame T and the Starlights, a jazz and cabaret group with no presence online, but which, upon further inspection, is led by Tanya Rynd, the co-owner of the Dumbo dining and bar staple Superfine.
The Next Web’s involvement comes as part of its effort to build Momentum, a tech conference/hackathon it has planned for November.
