Hot on Kickstarter right now is the Ollie Chair, a take on a folding chair that could be used as real furniture in your apartment.
Made by the New Lab-based design company RockPaperRobot, the chair’s campaign has raised $60,000 of its $80,000 goal in just four days.
“Folding chairs are often relegated to musty closets and temporary positions,” the Kickstarter reads. “But here at RPR, we think versatility is queen…and that just because a chair can be stored, doesn’t mean it should be hidden or take second seat.”

At $300, the Ollie Chair is priced between Ikea and West Elm, though RockPaperRobot says the price on the Kickstarter is below what the chair will eventually be at.
In addition to folding, the chairs can be hung on a wall as art. With the ability to be screenprinted, this is not as weird as it sounds.
