To a room of nearly 400 entrepreneurs at the BWI Airport Marriott, Elianne Ramos, vice-chair of Latinos in Social Media, said that entrepreneurship “is the new face of business in the United States.”
Ramos, who has lived in Baltimore for almost five years, delivered the morning keynote address at the Maryland Entrepreneur Expo, a speech that focused on two things: promoting entrepreneurship not only in the state of Maryland, but also nationwide, and encouraging more participation in startup culture by minority groups.

TEDCO‘s Christine Johnson (also founder of the IamDtech: Diversity in Technology organization) invited Ramos to give the morning keynote at this year’s expo, an event Ramos said “makes technology more accessible to everyone.”
“It’s a great way for communities to start getting involved in technology,” said Ramos.
