DuckDuckGo continues to be the little search engine that could.

Hacker News took note of the Paoli-based search engine’s spike in traffic. On Wednesday, March 28, DuckDuckGo hit an all time high of 1,518,581 direct queries in one day, according to metrics provided by the company.

To put that number in perspective, Google wouldn’t blink at a couple billion queries per day, but with a clear distinction around privacy, DuckDuckGo’s numbers continue to catch attention.

TIME magazine recently spoke with DuckDuckGo founder Gabriel Weinberg about the site’s inadvertent privacy features — the search engine doesn’t keep a search history or log IP addresses.

Weinberg noticed a significant uptick in traffic sometime around Valentine’s Day, TIME reports.
