This Saturday join visual artist and Technical.ly fave Carla Gannis at the Made In NY Media Center for a workshop on augmented reality.

“In this 3 hour workshop Carla Gannis will teach participants how to use AR as an artistic medium,” according to the invitation. “Through hands-on demonstrations using the Blippar AR builder, participants will produce their very own augmented works of art.”

Gannis is a professor in the Digital Arts department at Pratt. Last year she had a show at East Williamsburg’s Transfer Gallery of her work in digital media, A Subject Self-Defined.

Tickets are $50 for the workshop, which runs from 1-4 p.m. in Dumbo.
