There's a treadmill standing-desk, a Super Mario chess set and a hat stand in cofounder Alex Urevick-Ackelberg's office. (He's rarely seen without a hat.)

With a dog, a hamster and plenty of fish, Zivtech might win the award for Philly tech office with most pets.

The web dev firm’s 4,400-square-foot office in the Philadelphia Building at 1315 Walnut Street has changed a lot since we last visited two years ago, shortly after Zivtech moved in.

Covered in greenery, natural light and Super Mario accents, the office now feels lived in. We also have to give a shout-out to their snack setup (think chocolate-covered pretzels and wasabi peas) in the kitchen.

We took these photos during a recent visit, while several of the company’s 18 staffers were grabbing lunch or teaching PhillyDevCamp (which is why you won’t see many people in the office).

The Philadelphia Building was one of the first buildings that attracted a handful of tech firms, like RJMetrics, Eight Eleven, Zivtech and coworking space Cultureworks. RJMetrics outgrew the space earlier this year.
