WizeHive closes $1M seed round with participation from local investors

WizeHive, the Conshohocken startup that provides a platform for businesses to create apps, raised a $1 million seed round and is up to 21 staff.

WizeHive, the Conshohocken startup that provides a platform for businesses to create apps, raised a $1 million seed round, according to a recent release.

Gabriel Investments, a Center City fund that invests in local companies, and Goldin Ventures, based in the Lehigh Valley, participated in the round. DuckDuckGo founder Gabriel Weinberg also participated in the round and will join WizeHive’s board.

The announcement comes right before the launch of WizeHive’s updated platform, which aims to allow users to create business-focused apps without using any technical knowledge. Check it out in beta here.

The company, cofounded by DreamIt Ventures cofounder Michael Levinson, currently employs 21. Its clients include The Smithsonian, Northwestern University and the American Humane Society.
