Baltimore Innovation Week

A whole lot of smart people in one room, aka the BIW17 Sciences Conference

If you're a part or supporter of the health and sciences industry in Baltimore, this is the Baltimore Innovation Week event for you.

Baltimore is known for a lot of things, but the innovation that’s happening in the health and sciences sector is especially hard to ignore.
With heavy hitters like Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland BioPark (both of whom are sponsoring Baltimore Innovation Week 2017), the amount of startups cropping up is unsurprising. (Half of Technical.ly Baltimore’s realLIST companies were related to healthcare.)
So, what would our annual weeklong celebration of technology and innovation be without a focus on Sciences?
Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at the University of Maryland’s School of Pharmacy for three different events under the formally named Sciences Conference.
To start, a curated group of entrepreneurs, investors, policy makers, academics and leaders will join in a Health & Sciences Roundtable discussion. This event is invite-only, but, if you think you should be a part of the conversation, fill out our Interest Form.
Then, Explore Baltimore Sciences will explore what’s happening in the industry, what areas still need to be improved upon and how we can all continue to collaborate and encourage growth and innovation. A panel will talk about their own individual experiences and suggest collaborative solutions. We’ll also have a few newer companies demo their innovative products in a pitch-like format.

Hear from:

Of course, we’ll end the day with some drinks, food and networking so you can mingle with the smartest people representing Baltimore’s growing healthcare scene.
The BIW17 Sciences Conference is possible because of our sponsors. Big thanks to ETC, Kaiser Permanente, University of Maryland BioPark, Johns Hopkins, Rendia, Baltimore Museum of Art, eMocha, and Gemstone Biotherapeutics.
